Biography

Tupac was born June 16th 1971 East Harlem New York. His mum Afeni Shakur was a member of the Black Panthers. Tupac's real name is Lesane Parish Crooks but changed for his safety. His mum put him in a talent show at a young age. He was offered a record contract at the age of 13. However, his mother refused to let him sign anything at such a young age. She felt he had a lot to learn about the world before joining the music industry.

After his birth his mother married Mutulu Shakur. When tupac was in his pre-teens His stepfather, Mutulu, spent four years at large on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list beginning in 1982.

Tupac first started rapping when he was 18. His first album was 2pacalypse now and it came out in 1991. The song "I Don't Give a Fuck" was on the game Grand Theft Auto San Andreas.

Tupac is one of the best-selling music artists in the world. He has sold 38 million copies in the USA alone. He has also sold 75 million albums to date and is one of the best-selling music artists in the world.
